1. Introduction
SEMAGEM TECHNOLOGY F.Z.C ("SEMAGEM", "we", "us") provides a private supply-chain management application used by our business customers and their employees. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. The app is intended for business users acting on behalf of an organization (the "Owner") that has signed up for the service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the supply-chain workflows in the app:
- Account information — email address, display name, role, and the warehouse or shop you are linked to. The password you set is stored as a salted hash; we never see the plaintext.
- Operational data you enter — SKUs, inventory counts, purchase orders, parcel tracking numbers, transfer requests, stocktake results, and notes you attach to these records.
- Device & technical data — IP address, device model, OS version, app version, language, and basic diagnostic logs used to keep the service running and to debug errors.
- Camera input — when you use the barcode/QR scanner, frames are processed on-device only to decode the code. We do not record video and do not upload images.
- Photos you upload — when you attach an image to an SKU or a record, the image is stored on our servers and linked to that record.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Authenticate you and protect your account.
- Run the supply-chain features you trigger (inventory, purchasing, picking, delivery, stocktake, etc.).
- Send transactional emails such as password resets and team invitations.
- Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your data. We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- With other members of your organization, according to their assigned role (for example, an Owner can see all data in the tenant; a Shop Manager sees only their shop).
- With trusted infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, transactional email, error monitoring) under contracts that limit them to processing data on our behalf.
- When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
Operational records (orders, parcels, transfers, stocktakes) are retained for as long as your organization keeps an active account, because the data is needed for inventory accuracy and audit history. When an account or organization is closed, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to keep certain records longer for legal or accounting reasons.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted at rest by our hosting providers. Access is restricted by role-based permissions, and passwords are stored as salted hashes. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. 8. Children
The app is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Transfers
We operate from the United Arab Emirates and may process data on servers located in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the app after the change means you accept the updated policy.
